The Elder Scrolls III: Tribunal Hints
The Black Dart Gang
1 of 9: You'll get this quest by talking to Narisa Adus in the Bazaar Sewers. She's on the west side of the sewers, near the doors to the Manor District. (There are two sets of doors to the Manor District -- Narisa is next to the western set.)
2 of 9: Talk to her about the Black Dart Gang, and she'll say that her lover Variner was killed by the gang. She wants you to find his ghost and bring her any message he might have.
3 of 9: You will find his ghost in the Temple Sewers.
4 of 9: Look near the door to the Abandoned Crypt, on the west side of the first Temple Sewers area. (It's location 5 on the Old Mournhold: Temple Sewers 1 map.)
5 of 9: Ask Variner's Ghost about a "message", and he'll give you a tip on how to destroy the gang.
6 of 9: Enter the Temple Sewers West map, which you can reach via a door on the north side of the main part of the Temple Sewers. Look for the torch holder that Variner's Ghost mentioned to you -- it will be just next to the door as you enter. You're looking for an empty torch holder, not a lit torch here. Click on it, and this section of the sewers will then flood.
7 of 9: There are (were?) 4 members of the gang around here. Get out your Water Breathing potions or spells to look at their corpses and collect those nasty darts the gang has. They'll tend to be floating near the top of the screen -- you want to look mainly on the west side of this map area, especially in the rough stone tunnels.
8 of 9: There's also one gang member in the Temple Sewers East. You'll just have to attack him and kill him directly, but he's not quite as tough as the others.
9 of 9: When you're done, report back to Narisa, and she'll give you Variner's Ring -- a pretty weak enchanted ring with a short Charm effect. Getting rid of the Black Dart Gang and getting a chance to collect those famous darts is probably worth the most, except of course, for whatever satisfaction you get from a job well done.
