Using items in your inventory...
There are several keys to using the items in your inventory. The first is to know what each item is. As you move your cursor over each item, a brief description will appear. In many cases, as you click on an item, the "eye" icon (at the upper left of your inventory window) will light up, indicating that you can get a close-up view of the object.
Also remember that your inventory window is your direct access to your Codex, or journal of important notes, created automatically as you pass certain points in the game.
