The Sacred Amulet Hints
Using currency throughout the game...
In keeping with the accuracy of the game, the currency used throughout (to buy and sell goods and services) is cocoa beans. You begin the game with a fixed number of beans. As you progress, you will encounter opportunities to exchange cocoa beans for various goods or services.
In addition, you can "earn" more cocoa beans later in the game. However, you can still waste them and not have enough when you need them.
Do not necessarily buy everything you have an opportunity to buy, or you may run out of beans at a crucial point in the game. Only buy what you need, as you need it, and there will be enough beans to last the game.
Also, if you have bought something that you do not currently need, it can be sold back to the merchant from whom you bought it. (If you bought firewood, it can be sold back to any firewood merchant in the game.)
