Saving games...
One of the early confusions in TSA relates to saving games. The full game is divided into 10 "Acts". As you begin each new "Act", the game is automatically saved, allowing you to restart at any point in the game.
However, if the "Save" option is set to "automatic", that is the ONLY time you can save a game. You will not be able to select another point in the game and save it. To do this, you must first go to the Options window, change the "Save" option to "manual", and exit the Options window. Then you can Save a game at any point in the game, and restart from there at any time.
Note, however, that if you leave the "Save" option set to "manual", the ability to restart a game after you have been "killed" will not exist.
TSA attempts to enhance the enjoyment of gameplay by reducing the frustration that can come about when your player is "killed", and you have not saved a game in a long time. Rather than force you to replay everything up to that point, TSA will restart the game after any unsuccessful termination at the point JUST BEFORE whatever caused the previous game to terminate. That way, you can try other things to avoid the undesireable ending.
However, this ONLY applies when the "Save" option is set to "automatic". So after setting the option to "manual" and saving your own game, it is best to reset it to "automatic" until you need it set to "manual" again.
