How do I help this tax collector?
1 of 10: You need to help him sort the tribute that has been delivered to him.
2 of 10: The sorting is best done by taking the total value of all items, and dividing it up.
3 of 10: There are 3 tribute areas, receiving percentages of 25%, 25%, and 50%.
4 of 10: Divide the total value of the tribute (885 units) by 4.
5 of 10: You should notice that 885 isn't divisible by 4. Just get as close as you can.
6 of 10: Divide the tribute into groups of 221, 221, and 442 units.
7 of 10: There is more than one solution. Several possible solutions follow.
8 of 10: One solution: 3 pelts, 7 cotton bales, 2 bags of shells to Tenochtitlan. 2 pelts, 1 cotton bale, 1 bag of shells to each of the two smaller provinces.
9 of 10: Another solution: Tenochtitlan: 4 pelts, 2 bales, 2 bags of shells. One of the others: 2 pelts, 1 bale, 1 bag of shells. The last: 1 pelt, 6 bales, 1 bag of shells.
10 of 10: You will be left with one bag of shells, which the tax collector will offer to you. Exchange it for more cocoa beans.
