How can I get the dog's bone?
1 of 10: The dog will need distracting before you can get it.
2 of 10: There's a freezer full of meat in here.
3 of 10: Give some meat to the dog (by putting it through the opening on the other side of the cage to where he's standing).
4 of 10: Too bad... he eats very quickly.
5 of 10: Maybe we need a way to show him some food but not let him get to it.
6 of 10: Did you notice when you were put into this area that all your inventory items were removed except one?
7 of 10: That one item is the solution here.
8 of 10: It's the spare glass jar from the research carriage.
9 of 10: Put some meat in the jar and leave it for the dog.
10 of 10: He will become interested in it, and you can take his bone.
