The Secret Files: Tunguska Hints

General Hints

  • Tunguska is a point-and-click adventure game, and as with any adventure game you will want to pick up and carry with you absolutely anything you can. There are a rather large number of total inventory items in this game, and a very large amount of inventory manipulation and using items with your surroundings. It also helps to think somewhat outside the box with some of the puzzles as some of them are a little far-fetched and you are not necessarily given all of the clues you need to solve some of them, which left me to resort to combining random items until coming up with the right solution. However, most of the puzzles are quite logical, and this is a good adventure game, definitely one of the better adventure releases in 2006.

Probably THE most useful feature of Tunguska's interface is the Search Scene button, which is an image of a magnifying glass in the lower-right corner of the screen. By clicking this button, all of the interactive items and exits on the current screen will be highlighted briefly, meaning no more annoying pixel-hunting for little objects you may not spot otherwise. Make good use of this tool if I talk about an item you cannot see, and if something I'm describing isn't working, use the Search Scene button to examine everything nearby. Sometimes you need to look at something for your character to register its intended use.
