Under a Killing Moon Hints
How do I administer the Winter Chip?
of 13: First of all, ignore what Eva says about giving you a signal and waiting. If you do the right things, Tex will automatically wait as necessary.
of 13: The linkup computer is locked away.
of 13: It's in the observatory in a locked wall panel.
of 13: Use Eva's key to unlock the panel, and move the game to get to it.
of 13: The main computer is hidden by a button, also in the observatory.
of 13: You'll need to press the recessed switch to get to it.
of 13: Get the straw out of the cocktail glass (take the glass and examine it), and then use the button to press the straw.
of 13: Now all you need to do is find the cable to attach the two computers.
of 13: There's a loose panel underneath the plant by the window on the right (as you're facing out of the observatory).
of 13: You can pry it open with an item locatable on the observatory.
of 13: Get the pipe from near the residence deck and use it on the panel. Then take the wires that are exposed underneath.
of 13: As per Eva's instructions, use the Winter Chip on the linkup computer, then attach the wires to the virus computer, and then use the virus connection on the console to start the sequence that will end the game.
of 13: If you don't have the Winter Chip, you didn't hide it well enough before you came to the Moon Child. Read the question on day 4 about what to do with the Winter Chip.
