How can I fix the lift gears?

  • 1 of 7: To the east on the first level is a ramp.  Climb it up to the top to find the machinery that makes the lift work.
  • 2 of 7: It is hard to tell exactly what is wrong.  Read the nearby book to learn how to fix it.
  • 3 of 7: Towards the front of the shaft, a part is missing.
  • 4 of 7: Somewhere downstairs, on the first level, lies the missing cog.
  • 5 of 7: Once you have the huge lift gear, return to the mechanism.  Turn off the water by using the nearby valve.
  • 6 of 7: Click the cog on the front area of the shaft, following the directions from the book.
  • 7 of 7: Don't forget to turn the water back on!
