How can I enter the Abyss?

  • 1 of 4: According to what you learned from Shamino in the Well of Souls, The Abyss was sealed by Lord British so no one else could go in.  The only way to enter it is to Summon Pyros to take you down.  (Read the journal to refresh your memory.)
  • 2 of 4: Gather the four items to use in the Ritual: a Red Candle, a Demon Skull, Sulphurous Ash and Spider's Silk.  (Note: A chunk of Blackrock is NOT necessary.  The layer sealing the Abyss is made of it.)
  • 3 of 4: Place them all in the center of the red pentagram.
  • 4 of 4: Ignite the Red Candle and Pyros will pull you into The Abyss.  (This is one of the coolest animated cut-scenes in the game!)
