Ultima IX: Ascension Hints
2nd Circle -- Infernal Armor
White potions have the exact same effect as this spell.
The Avatar is engulfed in a protective layer of flames which will block the majority of damage from incoming fire-based attacks.
If you ever find a need to walk into lava, use this spell. You will still take damage from the lava and fire but in a lesser amount.
Some have said this spell is effective in deterring Predatory Fish, but I didn't notice much of a difference.
