Ultima IX: Ascension Hints

What am I supposed to do in the Guardian's Lair?

  • 1 of 8: Your Journal spells it out for you fairly clearly and gives you the mantras.
  • 2 of 8: Perform the Barrier of Life ritual first.
  • 3 of 8: Place all of the 8 Sigils of Virtue on the pedestals around the room.  It doesn't matter which pedestals you place them on.
  • 4 of 8: Walk into the center of the room and type in the mantra SANCT VAS GRAV IN MANI AN CORP when asked.
  • 5 of 8: Now it is time for the Armageddon ritual.
  • 6 of 8: Search around the room for 3 pieces of rock that you can pick up.  They are highlighted in reddish tones and can be seen fairly easily even though it is very dark in the corners of the room.
  • 7 of 8: Place the 3 pieces on the edge of the circle and step into the center.  (You can do this even while the Guardian is yelling at you.)
  • 8 of 8: Speak this mantra: VAS KAL AN MANI IN CORP HUR TYM.
