Ultima IX: Ascension Hints
Where is the exit out of here?
of 11: When you placed the Orange Statue on its Orange Pedestal, the cut-scene showed the floor in another nearby room opening.
of 11: Go across the hall a bit north to find a new pool of water.
of 11: Dive down in and look around for a switch of some kind.
of 11: A wheel-shaped valve on the north wall should be turned. This causes something else to open.
of 11: That cut-scene showed a barred underwater portcullis opening. It should look familiar.
of 11: You were there not long ago when finding the Orange Statue.
of 11: Go back north of the Wheel Room and head to the pool in the west room.
of 11: Save your game! The swim is a little long, but not overly difficult if you know where to go.
of 11: Jump in and move southeast to the doorway underwater. Pause at the bubbles -- they'll fill your air supply.
of 11: Keep going south and then west to the end of the waterway. It will look like a dead-end.
of 11: Turn around and swim up into the tunnel. Look for a hole in the ceiling where you can get out -- right next to the Shrine near New Magincia.
