Ultima IX: Ascension Hints
Mandrake Root
1 of 4: Mandrake Root is the rarest of all the reagents, and is the most difficult to find. (It's also the most expensive to buy.)
2 of 4: There are several pieces in the magic laboratory in Lord British's castle; definitely enough to help you bind spells for the first portion of the game.
3 of 4: You can buy Mandrake Root in Minoc, but it can cost 500 or more gold per single piece. It is much cheaper in the Guild in Buccaneer's Den.
4 of 4: Also look for it sitting on shelves and inside treasure chests.
