Ultima IX: Ascension Hints
Ritual of Binding
1 of 6: Altomar in Britain (outside the reagent shop) will explain how this is done.
2 of 6: First, find a binding pentagram which is surrounded by 5 candles. There are many of these pentagrams around Britannia.
3 of 6: Place the scroll for the spell you wish to bind in the center of the pentagram along with all of the reagents required to bind it. (Refer to your spellbook for the reagents needed.)
4 of 6: Light all 5 candles by casting the Ignite Spell. If you cast the spell in the middle of the pentagram, all five candles will light at once.
5 of 6: You will be asked to recite the spell's incantation (also in the spellbook). Type in the incantation and press your Enter keyboard key when finished.
6 of 6: If done correctly, all of the items you placed in the pentagram will rise, sparkle, and swirl as the spell is permanently bound into your spellbook.
