The MiniGun uses the same bullets as the AutoMag, so watch out you don't unexpectedly drain the ammo for one with the other. The MiniGun is much faster than the AutoMag, and it is even faster in secondary mode. You can empty all 200 rounds in just a few seconds if you are not careful.
