1 of 5: To run a software application, click the 'run application' button (the big one in your Gateway Manager) and choose what you wish to run.
2 of 5: All the descriptions noted here contain five things: The name of the software, what it does, how many versions there are, what the different versions cost, the version differences and miscellaneous notes.
3 of 5: You should only get what you specifically need for any given mission type. Don't buy "just in case", you'll need every credit you can muster for some of the useful software.
4 of 5: Don't bother with v1.0:s on anything, always get the best version you can afford. Here's a good way to progress on the Proxy/Firewall line: Proxy_Disabler v5.0 (10k), Firewall_Bypass v5.0 (10k), Monitor_Bypass v5.0 (25k) and last (but not least) Proxy_Bypass v5.0 (20k).
5 of 5: Every thing you'll need at any given time (rank, to be precise) _will_ fit in your GW so the sizes of programs aren't listed here. Crackers are big, securities small, bypassers small. Other programs are small (the IP probe, the Voice Analyser and the Disablers are big). All useful programs will take about 30Gq.
