Uplink Hints
How do I trace unauthorised transfers?
1 of 11: Read the mission page carefully.
2 of 11: You need to find out _who_ the money went to.
3 of 11: There will be an account number and a bank ID in the mission page.
4 of 11: You will need to hack in there and find out where the money went.
5 of 11: Then you will need to find out to _whom_ the money went to.
6 of 11: Type the account number in the "name" field and click the Password_Cracker to the Password field.
7 of 11: When you get in, see the "View Statement" section. You will find that there's a transfer (usually a very large amount compared to the general cash level) to a different account in IP_Check if it's not the same bank -- in the upper corner of your display you'll see the IP of that bank). Write those numbers down and Disconnect.
8 of 11: Now you'll need to find out where the bank is.
9 of 11: There's a handy software for this.
10 of 11: Purchase an IP_Lookup, if you don't have one already.
11 of 11: Now hack into the account you wrote down and get the name.
