Uru: The Path of the Shell Hints
There's a control panel with a schematic of the building. What do I do?
of 17: The schematic means nothing if you don't know what the area looks like. Explore the area first so you know what the schematic represents.
of 17: The bridge leading to the next building is destroyed, and all the mixers are on. Also notice that the mixers have ladders leading down into them, but they're locked. Maybe the control panel help you get through.
of 17: Have a seat and play with some of the buttons. Try to figure out what they do.
of 17: Press the blue buttons to scroll from section to section of the complex.
of 17: Use the blue buttons to find the area with the mixers. It's recognizable from the four spinning objects.
of 17: Press one of the buttons on the left to make buttons on the right appear. Play with them to find out what they do.
of 17: It seems the buttons on the left select a mixer to control, and the buttons on the right manipulate the chosen mixer. You need to somehow turn them off.
of 17: Each mixer is represented by a spinning object, a small red circle, and a larger blue circle. What could each mean? Make changes at the control panel and examine the corresponding mixer to find out.
of 17: The spinning object represents the mixing blades, the red circle represents the ladder door, and the blue circle represents the water level.
of 17: In order to go into the mixers, you have to turn off the blades, unlock the ladders, and drain the water (which, in order to drain the water, opens the pipe underneath).
of 17: Select a mixer and turn off the mixing blades, unlock the door, and drain the water. Repeat for the others. Note that there one mixer that can't be turned off.
of 17: You can now climb down the two mixers you have access to and go through the pipes, but they just have dead ends. How can turning off the mixers help you get to the other side of the broken bridge?
of 17: Think about what you've seen so far in this complex. Is there anything that might let you through?
of 17: One room back, there was a side door that led to the opposite end of the pipes connected to the mixers. Explore there.
of 17: One of the pipe mesh covers is broken! Since you turned off the mixers, the door on the other side is now open, too.
of 17: Run through the pipe to find out where it leads.
of 17: Fortunately, it leads to the one mixer on the other side you turned off. Climb up the ladder and continue on.
