Uru: To D'ni Hints

Where is the Distance GZM?

  • 1 of 10: Examine the viewer that corresponds with the Distance coordinate.  The Distance coordinate is the second (middle) coordinate on your KI and is represented by an arrow.  The set of coordinates given to you by the Distance viewer is the location of the GZM to calibrate the Great Zero for distance.
  • 2 of 10: The coordinates given to you by the viewer are 61131; 71; -84.  That is, a toran value of 61131, a distance value of 71, and an elevation value of -84.
  • 3 of 10: If you have already calibrated the Great Zero's Toran or Elevation coordinates, you will be able to track your Toran and Elevation position throughout the cavern.  This can be especially useful if you know the coordinates of other locations in the cavern to use as comparison.  If not, you'll have to use a little more guess and check work.
  • 4 of 10: Explore the D'ni cavern carefully.  The GZM must be in there somewhere.
  • 5 of 10: It's a lot of searching, but keep it up!  Try to think about areas of D'ni that you may not think of normally, such as those you don't have access to through the Nexus, but have access to by other means such as Bahro Stones and other Linking Books.
  • 6 of 10: In the case of the Distance GZM, it's hidden in a place you can access only through the use of a Linking Book.
  • 7 of 10: A Linking Book originally found on Kadish Tolesa.
  • 8 of 10: The place you're looking for is the Gallery that holds the encrypted solutions to the puzzles on the age of Kadish Tolesa.  There's a Linking Book leading here not far from the link-in point on Kadish Tolesa, or, if you've linked to this room before, your Ae'gura book on your Relto will have the link.  Just flip to the appropriate page and touch the linking panel.
  • 9 of 10: Once in the room, explore it in search of the GZM.  Look carefully and listen to your KI.
  • 10 of 10: The GZM is in front of the Linking Book, a bit off to the side.  It shouldn't be too hard to find once you're in the room.  Return to the Great Zero Calibration Chamber and submit the GZM.  You must submit the GZM before you can collect another.
