Why won't the doors open even after I've used the control panel?
1 of 8: The control panel powered up the door system, but that's not all there is to opening them.
2 of 8: The doors are locked, in a way.
3 of 8: Notice the symbol on the doors. Have you seen that anywhere else?
4 of 8: You may have seen it down on the first floor.
5 of 8: It was the symbol on the button of the KI dispenser.
6 of 8: You *probably* got your KI on your way to the control room, but it's possible that you didn't. In that case, you're not going to be able to walk out of the control room. (I couldn't go back through the hole in the wall to leave this room, but your luck may vary here.)
7 of 8: The only solution that I know about is to use your Relto book to leave, and then use a linking book from there to go back to the start of the age. Then, pick up your KI and retrace all of your steps back to the control room. Once you have your KI, most of the doors will respond to you -- including ones on lower floors.
8 of 8: So you probably don't have to return to the control room through the gears -- just go straight to the next section of the fortress.
