Uru: Ages Beyond Myst Hints
What should I do at the hexagonal tiles in the pyramid?
1 of 19: The first thing that you need is a little bit of light to help you see what's going on.
2 of 19: Go up the stairs leading away from the floor, not down to the tiles on the floor themselves, and you will find a blue button that you can push.
3 of 19: Push this twice and you can see symbols lit up in blue on each of the tiles. (You may need to walk around the floor before the second button press will turn the symbols from white to blue.)
4 of 19: Take a close look at the symbols.
5 of 19: And think about where you have seen symbols like this.
6 of 19: Some of the symbols in the gallery are fairly close to what you see on the floor, but that's not really what you're getting at here.
7 of 19: You also saw some of the symbols elsewhere.
8 of 19: They were also used to refer to this age elsewhere -- like in your Relto.
9 of 19: They're the most common symbols on the floor.
10 of 19: You're looking for the tree-shaped symbols -- the ones with a round top, a straight line extending from the bottom (the trunk), and several other arcs connecting the top to the trunk. (Those symbols were on the pedestal with the linking book, and they match the forest setting of this age.)
11 of 19: You need to find a path all the way across the floor that uses only these tree symbols. Again, first-person view helps here -- press F1 if needed to switch to it.
12 of 19: Start at the bottom of the sixth column from the left. (All of these hints give directions as you're looking at the floor from the light button above.)
13 of 19: Then walk to the adjacent tile that's up and to the left -- i.e., to the bottom of the fifth column.
14 of 19: Continue toward the top of the room, staying in this column.
15 of 19: Then go up and left one column over.
16 of 19: And down and left one column over.
17 of 19: Next, go up and left one column, and then straight up. You should be on the second tile of the second column.
18 of 19: Finally, go up and to the right -- back to the third column -- and then straight ahead to the top of that column.
19 of 19: That last tile will turn into an elevator. Ride it to the bottom and then get off of it. (The elevator will keep going down and then returning, in case you somehow missed it the first time.)
