Uru: Ages Beyond Myst Hints
I'm in the desert age, but I don't really seem to be able to get anywhere.
1 of 15: When you first reach the desert age, you won't see any obvious puzzle, but you may be able to figure something out by looking at what's in the environment.
2 of 15: And there isn't a whole lot in this environment -- it's a desert, after all.
3 of 15: Have you taken a look at the steam vents throughout the area where you first arrived?
4 of 15: Some of them seem to have some kind of cover on them.
5 of 15: You can open and close these covers by pressing the pedal next to the cover.
6 of 15: Explore, and you should find a total of six of these covers.
7 of 15: Have you tried closing any of the covers?
8 of 15: Or more than one at a time?
9 of 15: The more covers that you close, the more they start to rattle.
10 of 15: The pressure in the remaining vents must be building up.
11 of 15: Maybe you could use that to your advantage to get you somewhere.
12 of 15: If you follow the path from the start of the age all the way to the end, you'll see a wall is just a little bit too high for you to jump over.
13 of 15: The steam pressure might be able to help you here.
14 of 15: Try closing all but that very last vent, and you can then step onto the last (open) vent. The pressure that has built up will propel you over to the wall, and into the waterfall area.
15 of 15: Don't close all of the vents at any one time, or else the pressure will be so strong that all of the covers will be blown off, and you'll have to start over again. (You're better off opening the vent near the wall *before* you close all the other ones.)
