Uru: Ages Beyond Myst Hints
How do I get around the cleft? Some of the bridges are broken.
1 of 12: Remember that there are more ways to get around and simply pointing and clicking.
2 of 12: First, you can run and jump in Uru.
3 of 12: Press SHIFT to make your avatar run, or press SPACE to jump. This will get you over some of the smaller gaps on the bridges, where there are just one or two planks missing.
4 of 12: One of the bridges will collapse under you completely as you start to cross it. Jumping won't be enough to get you across that, though.
5 of 12: Once you fall off that bridge, look around and see if there's another way back up.
6 of 12: You can climb back up the pieces of the broken bridge as if they were ladders -- just walk up to them and then press UP or DOWN on the keyboard or click in the appropriate direction once you've started climbing.
7 of 12: Only one of the ladders will be within reach when you first fall, though.
8 of 12: Turn back to look at the wall that's in the direction you first came from, and you can climb up that ladder.
9 of 12: From there, you should be able to make your way eventually to the other side of the bridge.
10 of 12: Stay around the edge of the cleft, and step down a few times as you follow the path, and you should be on the other side of that bridge shortly.
11 of 12: After that, you will now be within reach of the other half of the bridge.
12 of 12: Just repeat what you did before, and walk up to the bridge to climb it like a ladder. You should now be able to reach all of the major parts of the cleft.
