2 of 5: Look around the town to find something suitable for lubricating a bat.
3 of 5: Or lubricating anything, for that matter.
4 of 5: There's a barrel of oil at the far right of the screen where the dress shop is.
5 of 5: Dip Froderick in it, then use the oily Froderick in your inventory with the barred window.
