What's the secret to opening the demonic combination lock?

  • 1 of 14: You need to take a close look at the lock itself, and see if you recognize any of the symbols on it.
  • 2 of 14: Have you seen those symbols anywhere before?
  • 3 of 14: If you haven't, maybe you should do a little... reading... on the subject. And where's the best place for reading?
  • 4 of 14: Check out the bookshelves in the library. Specifically, take a closer look at the right shelves, the shelves where you swapped the books to get in here.
  • 5 of 14: You'll see a few screens' worth of books. You can scroll up and down to check out each set of books.
  • 6 of 14: See all those symbols on the books? They look awfully familiar to the symbols on the lock, don't they?
  • 7 of 14: If only we knew which books held the four correct symbols!
  • 8 of 14: Once we've worked out which four symbols we need, we can head back to the lock itself and start turning those dials.
  • 9 of 14: Now we know which four symbols we need, and in which order, this should be a piece of cake.
  • 10 of 14: The colored diamond has to go in the middle, so set the green diamond to face the top.
  • 11 of 14: The outside ring needs the spiral.
  • 12 of 14: The ring inside from that needs the quarter moon symbol.
  • 13 of 14: And finally, the ring just inside that one needs the remaining symbol, the Z.
  • 14 of 14: Once you position the symbols in this manner, the lock will open itself.
