Voyage Hints

There is a white powder in the dish.

  • 1 of 9: The white powder is potash.  It is apparently not being heated enough, to produce sufficient oxygen for Ardan.
  • 2 of 9: You'll need to raise the heat to the potash.
  • 3 of 9: Click the dish again to close the cover and return it to the flame.
  • 4 of 9: How could you increase the heat to the dish?
  • 5 of 9: Note the small wheel below the flame.  That controls the gas that is burning.
  • 6 of 9: Click on the wheel to rotate it.
  • 7 of 9: Each click will move through a fixed cycle of low-medium-high-medium, and back again (beginning, of course, wherever the flame is set at the time).  It is not important which side of the wheel you click; it will always go through the same rotation.
  • 8 of 9: Bring the flame up one level (i.e., if it is set on low, bring it down to medium; if it is set on medium, raise it to the highest setting).
  • 9 of 9: Keep an eye on the gauges; if you have overadjusted, there could be other repercussions that will involve readjusting it again later.
