Voyage Hints
What is different the second time?
1 of 8: The second time you are in this area, and need to unlock the gate, you will note that the second of the blue bar lights is lit. The blue bar lights, then, indicate how many times you've tried to work this puzzle, and open the gate from the inside.
2 of 8: In addition to the green lights under some buttons, there are now red lights, as well.
3 of 8: The principal is still the same; but a new "variant" has been added to the mix.
4 of 8: What might a red light indicate?
5 of 8: If green meant "positive", or "add"...
6 of 8: ... then it makes sense that a red light could mean "negative", or "subtract".
7 of 8: Apply the same arithmetic operations as before, but now -- instead of just adding all of the symbols with lights below them, add just the ones with green lights, and subtract any with a red light.
8 of 8: There is one more difference the second time around. For every incorrect answer, the gold cover will close *two* steps, rather than just one. However, correct answers still only open it one step.
