Voyage Hints
How do I raise my point total?
Points are awarded for most successful accomplishments of Ardan's. This can include solving puzzles, gaining access to new locations, figuring out how to perform certain activities (such as jumping), interpreting ideograms, and many other things. It is beyond the scope of this hint file to list every possibility for point accumulation. (Suffice it to say that it is clearly possible to get over 800 points -- perhaps even much more than that.)
The best suggestion, if your point total is too low to gain access to a higher level key, is to simply continue to play the game. Continue to explore, pick up everything that you can, look for any unsolved puzzles (either explicit, or even the more subtle ones -- such as doors that remain locked, or items that still don't appear to work), and gain access to every place within the game that you are aware of.
Also, be sure to read your log regularly. There are many clues, hints, suggestions, and notes that can contribute to ideas for what Ardan needs to do. Most of these accomplishments, as they are met, will contribute to your overall point total.
For the most part, you should be able to greatly exceed the minimum points required for a particular key. If you find that you are short, you are probably trying to get the key long before you need it.
