8. Potassium
1 of 10: To avoid toxic carbon dioxide built-up in the space capsule during his return to Earth, Ardan will require something to "scrub" the air and keep it breathable.
2 of 10: While Ardan will be able to leave the moon without resolving this point, he will die on the return trip -- a very unsatisfactory result!
3 of 10: It is a very simple matter to produce some potassium that Ardan can take with him on his return trip.
4 of 10: Potassium can be produced as a byproduct of burning; it is an ash.
5 of 10: What could Ardan burn, to produce some potassium?
6 of 10: There are a couple of things that Ardan either has in his possession, or which you may have encountered along the way, that would serve as burnable items.
7 of 10: In the underground area of the plateau (i.e., in the same area as the pipe organ and one of the scales), there is a piece of dead wood lying on the floor.
8 of 10: (Look to the right of the pile of yellow fruit, and the pile of lunar raffia and potting soil.)
9 of 10: Secondarily, raffia also burns -- either lunar raffia or regular raffia.
10 of 10: Burn any of the above items to produce the necessary potassium.
