What do I do with the gear box?

  • 1 of 14: It looks as though there is a missing gear between the other two.
  • 2 of 14: Have you seen anything that looks similar to this gear mechanism?
  • 3 of 14: It's actually comprised of several parts, fitted together.
  • 4 of 14: All of the parts can be purchased in the Distributor on Level 4; however, each one can be found fairly simply within the game itself.
  • 5 of 14: The outer part (and the most visible) is a cogged cylinder.
  • 6 of 14: Inside that is an axle (called an "ax" by the game).
  • 7 of 14: When those two are combined in inventory, the combining tray shows that one piece is still missing.
  • 8 of 14: There has to be some way to combine this mechanism with the other two already in the gear box.
  • 9 of 14: A gear would make the most sense.
  • 10 of 14: Where have you seen a gear already?
  • 11 of 14: Go to the altar on the mountain ledge above the plateau, and make another gear.
  • 12 of 14: Either color gear will work.
  • 13 of 14: Combine it with the other two items in inventory.
  • 14 of 14: Put the combined gear into the gear box, between the other two gears.
