Voyage Hints
What if I didn't do that, and left it at "2"?
of 12: If you left the scale set to "2", the first two aliens would head downstairs when the second one arrived.
of 12: The third alien would stand on the scale... with nothing to do, and no way to add any weight to the scale.
of 12: Ardan cannot approach the scale with the alien on it.
of 12: The only thing that could get on the scale would be another alien.
of 12: But the other two are already down in their stables (as can be seen by the lights on the chart on the wall).
of 12: However, you CAN call them BACK UP from there.
of 12: Select either of the two aliens already in their stable, and go through the process of "calling" that alien back.
of 12: You can even watch its pair of lights move back UP the chart, toward the middle again.
of 12: Unfortunately, when this alien gets back to your room, rather than stepping on the scale, it immediately runs up and out of the room, and back to its original position!
of 12: You'll now need to call it BACK IN, just as you did the first time. (Don't you just love "make-work" puzzles???)
of 12: When it arrives at the scale (for the second time), it will join the other alien already there, and the two of them will "tip the scales", opening the door, and allowing them both to go down to their stable.
of 12: All lights on the chart will now be at the bottom of the diagram.
