How do I make a compote?

  • 1 of 12: A compote is an edible compound, made from two or more other food sources.
  • 2 of 12: So the first step in making a compote is to mix (combine) the items you wish to include.
  • 3 of 12: Most compotes will require two different fruits, or other foods, to be combined.  Use the combining tray in inventory to do this.
  • 4 of 12: However, as you will find when you use the combining tray, something else is needed, as well.
  • 5 of 12: You'll have to have a utensil in which to combine the two foods.
  • 6 of 12: The frying pan will work nicely.
  • 7 of 12: Once combined, you will have an item in inventory that shows a frying pan with a mixture of colors in it.
  • 8 of 12: However, that is not yet palatable -- for Ardan or the aliens.
  • 9 of 12: If you were mixing foods together in a frying pan, what would your next step typically be?
  • 10 of 12: Why, to heat it, of course!
  • 11 of 12: A compote is not complete until it has been heated over a heat source -- typically a flame, or hot coals.
  • 12 of 12: You can use any of the "fire" stations located around the game to heat a compote; or you can use the flame on the burner in the capsule.
