How can I get the Sheriff to leave?
1 of 9: Talk to the Sheriff after you talk to Tom, the prisoner. Ask all dialog questions.
2 of 9: Tell him you're Tom's lawyer to open up more topics.
3 of 9: You may need to talk to the Sheriff again to ask about the commissioner's arrival. You'll find out that the Sheriff is waiting for a telegram from the commissioner.
4 of 9: Telegram... hmm. That should ring some bells.
5 of 9: Go see the Telegrapher at the train station and ask to send a telegram to the commissioner.
6 of 9: He won't send it. You must find another way to send a telegram -- remotely.
7 of 9: The telegraph pole on the other side of the bridge provides the connection.
8 of 9: After sending the telegram to the Sheriff, go talk to the telegraphist again.
9 of 9: Go see the Sheriff, delivering the telegram to him. Then leave his office. You will see him exit the front door, heading to the train station to wait for the arrival of the commissioner.
