The Ward Hints

What is the solution to Rita's lock puzzle?

  • 1 of 10: Study the key by putting it on your screen next to the lock. A few of the markings can be picked out right away.
  • 2 of 10: Do you recognize the face? Rotate the block with the eyes and mouth, if necessary, putting the large oval globes above the line.
  • 3 of 10: On the key, drawings of triangles appear across the top. This tells you the block with two triangles goes on the very top row. You still need to determine how to turn them.
  • 4 of 10: Notice the two pinwheels at the bottom. See if you can rotate the two blocks containing those designs to match the ones on the picture.
  • 5 of 10: Two blocks contain chains. Rotate them to match the drawing too.
  • 6 of 10: What appear to be checkmark-shaped drawings are actually the boots on the figure. One points left. The other points to the right.
  • 7 of 10: The middle row should have the face block in the very middle position, with the boots on either side.
  • 8 of 10: The two pinwheels flank the sides of the bottom row, with the empty space in between them.
  • 9 of 10: The chains should sit on the very top row, with the double triangle block in between.
  • 10 of 10: My version of the solution is shown in the below drawing.
