Wasteland Hints
4, 2, 8, 4, 32, 16...?
1 of 8: As with the last puzzle, this is a sequence of numbers. Figure out the relationship between the numbers, and find what comes next in the sequence.
2 of 8: The numbers go down and up in value. Look at the relationship between the numbers where the next number is less than the preceding number.
3 of 8: I.e., consider 4,2...8,4...32,16...
4 of 8: Every second number is half the preceding number. Now consider what happens when the numbers increase in value. (i.e., what precedes 8 and 32).
5 of 8: 8 is 4 times larger than 2. 32 is 8 times larger than 4. So the next number that increases in value will be how many times larger than 16? (i.e., 2x4 = 8; 4x8 = 32; 16x?=...)
6 of 8: For a hint, don't look at BOTH numbers preceding a raised value. (i.e., 4,2,8...8,4,32...)
7 of 8: Each raised value is the product of the two numbers preceding it. (Or, to say it another way, the multiple that increase the raised value doubles every time.)
