How do I fix the water purifier?
1 of 6: First you've got to find it.
2 of 6: It's in Highpool somewhere.
3 of 6: What's that strange machine in the shed near Bobby?
4 of 6: Is there a skill, attribute or item that could help you recognise it?
5 of 6: Use IQ on the machine. You'll recognise it as the water purifier, and realise that it needs a new engine.
6 of 6: You can either buy an engine, or wait until you find one. (You'll be waiting a while though. By that point the reward will be useless.)
