The Watchmaker Hints
How do I use the clock in the Astrologium?
of 9: Notice the astrological theme of this room. Perhaps that will give you some clue as to what to do with the big clock.
of 9: Bear in mind that star locations can be expressed in terms of hours, degrees, and minutes.
of 9: You need to enter the correct values for degrees, minutes, and seconds on the clock. These values can be found somewhere else in the Castle (switch back to Victoria if you want to explore the castle some more).
of 9: Somewhere else with an astrological theme.
of 9: Search the planetarium in the Old Wing thoroughly.
of 9: Under the constellation chart, you'll find a manuscript with the coordinates of the Horologium constellation (4h 15m -41 deg).
of 9: You want to enter the time (4:15) on the clock, and adjust the slider on the bottom to -41 deg. Look around the astrologium for a means of doing this.
of 9: The first, second, and third levers near the clock control the hour, minute, and degrees, respectively.
of 9: Pull the first one four times, the second three times, and the third one six times. If you enter the combination correctly, you'll hear the gate to the watchmaker's study open.
