How do I work the chessboard in the mausoleum?
1 of 8: There are several key pieces of information you need for this puzzle. First of all, take a look at that plaque on the wall.
2 of 8: You'll discover the mausoleum belongs to a girl named Anna. Have you seen any other information on Anna? If not, keep playing the game until you do.
3 of 8: You'll find an entire room dedicated to her in the Old Wing (accessible from about 12:30 game time onward). Look for chess-related information in this room.
4 of 8: In particular, open the showcase on the wall, and look at the pieces Anna is holding.
5 of 8: They are, in order, Black Bishop, White Knight, and Black Rook (Castle). Now, take a look at the hole that got blasted in the side of the mausoleum.
6 of 8: Try to use the information you got from the painting with the picture of a chessboard in the blasted hole.
7 of 8: Notice the position of the three aforementioned pieces. This is important.
8 of 8: Their positions are the combination you're looking for. Just punch them in on the chessboard inside. A door in the side of the chessboard will open. Take the items inside.
