How can I get that sphere in the middle of the desk?

  • 1 of 9: Notice the two indentations in the slabs on either side of the desk.
  • 2 of 9: Perhaps you could put something in those indentations.
  • 3 of 9: You'll get the thing you need to put in by completing another puzzle.
  • 4 of 9: Do you have any item in your inventory which resembles these indentations? If not, you probably need to complete another puzzle to get this item.
  • 5 of 9: In particular, the puzzle in the crypt.
  • 6 of 9: Take a good look at the metal plate you got from the compartment.
  • 7 of 9: If you right-click it, it will split it two.
  • 8 of 9: You now have two metal plates that bear an uncanny resemblance to the indentations on the desk.
  • 9 of 9: Just use them with the indentations.  Take the sphere when it pops up.
