How do I get into the underground lair?

There are two ways to get in. First, you have to try getting in through the courtyard.

2 of 5: You'll fail in this effort. You need to search the castle pretty thoroughly for the other way in.
3 of 5: In particular, you have to look high.
4 of 5: You can get in from the balcony outside your room.
5 of 5: "Use" the gap to climb into the tower.
