The Watchmaker Hints

How do I get the glittering object from the pool?

  • 1 of 16: Neither Darrel nor Victoria want to get in the water, so you're gonna have to find a way to get the water out of the pool.
  • 2 of 16: You'll want to get to the room from which the pool is controlled.  The door to this room is in the basement (accessible by the elevator with the gray doors).
  • 3 of 16: Unfortunately, it's locked.  You'll need a key.  You can find this key somewhere in the castle.
  • 4 of 16: In particular, it's on a rack in the kitchen.  The cook won't just let you take his keys, though.
  • 5 of 16: Now, you can use the keys on the door, and enter the boiler room.  Perhaps you can do something in here to sabotage the pool.
  • 6 of 16: Take a good look at the water filter.  Your character will say they need something to open it.
  • 7 of 16: Something sharp and flat would do the trick.
  • 8 of 16: In particular, you want the knife from the cupboard in the dining room. Right-click on the "cutlery" box to pick it up.
  • 9 of 16: Now, use the knife with the filter.  Your character will complain that they can't as long as the pump is on.  Go over to the switch on the control panel, and shut it off.  Then, open the filter.
  • 10 of 16: Perhaps you could pour something into the filter.
  • 11 of 16: The detergent from the laundry room will work.  You need something to put it in, though.
  • 12 of 16: Have you tried to open the well cover outside the castle yet?  If not, go do that now, and you'll get a container.
  • 13 of 16: You can use the bottle that Raul threw in the trash can near the well.  Just "use" it with the detergent.
  • 14 of 16: Now, use the detergent with the filter, close the lid, and turn the pump back on.
  • 15 of 16: Raul will drain the pool, allowing you to get the bracelet from the bottom. Also, note that Raul is no longer outside the castle.
  • 16 of 16: You can now enter the well.
