The Watchmaker Hints
How do I open the chest?
1 of 9: At some point in the game, you'll see the chest somewhere else, and it should give you a clue as to what you have to do.
2 of 9: In particular, it'll show up in the "movie" played by the clock in the orologia.
3 of 9: First of all, notice the rectangular slot on the chest. Perhaps you have a rectangular object in your inventory?
4 of 9: It's the same one you used to watch the movie.
5 of 9: Stick the "activated" rectangular crystal into the slot on the chest. Note that it will only work once it's been activated by the movie-clock.
6 of 9: Now, you just need to do something with those tumblers.
7 of 9: Did you notice the way the tumblers were facing in the movie?
8 of 9: Just copy this combination on the chest.
9 of 9: If you treat the white part of the lever as the north end of the compass needle, this is the combination: North-East, West, South-East, South-West, North-West. The trunk will open. Take the metal disk inside.
