This is actually the most important structure. Peasants bring gold back here, and lumber as well, if there is no Lumber Mill nearby. This is also how you make more Peasants. You'll need to build another one of these near a new gold mine when an old one runs dry. Protect these with your life, because without gold, you don't have an empire.
