Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness Hints

Mission 3: Southshore

  • Mission Objectives:

    - Build a Shipyard
    - Build 4 Oil Platforms

    You start off this mission on a middle island with one ship, one Peon, and some troops.  In this mission, you won't really be using ground units, so don't bother building a Barracks.  First, train some more Peons and build a Lumber Mill.  Then, make some more Farms, and then a Shipyard in the lower left part of the island (near the oil patch).  While this is taking place, take your Destroyers and kill the humans on the shore of the islands (Archers first, because they can actually attack you).

    Once the Shipyard's done, make an Oil Tanker, and build an Oil Platform in the Oil Patch.  In the process, make sure you have about four Peons getting gold and chopping lumber.  Make two more Oil Platforms, one to the northeast of the island, and the other to the northwest.  Once that's done, you may want to build another Tanker to get oil for future ships.  Build about 4 more Destroyers, and kill the other Elven Destroyers you can find.  Then, destroy the human Oil Platform you should find north of the island, and then build one of your platforms in its place.  That's it!
