Attacking
There isn't much you should know about attacking if you've already played one-player games. Most of the tactics are the same. However, watch for a couple things. First, your opponent (if he's experienced, anyway) WILL use magic spells like Blizzard and Death and Decay relentlessly, so make sure you have enough magic guys to counter it. Use those spells on them, too!
Remember that as the Humans, if there's a specific unit that's bugging you, you can get rid of it easily. Simply cast Exorcism (if it's a Death Knight) or Polymorph if it's not. This is the Mage's best defense, especially if it's being attacked. If something's charging your Death Knight, cast Death Coil on it.
Also, it's wise to watch for Demo Squads and Sappers. Invincible and Unholy Armor spells can and will stop them in their tracks, so if they decide to charge with them, remember those spells!
A fun thing to do is to get into lines. You know, a long single file line, with all of your guys and his guys, just a couple spaces out of each other's sight range. Have mostly Archers and Trolls on the front line, with a couple Knights and Ogres, and a Ballista or two in back. If you want to do this, there's a method known as the lure-away method. Send a guy into a Knight's sight range, and then back away. The Knight will follow that guy it saw, and then be decimated by the Trolls you have there. A way to counter this is to tell you guys to "Stand Ground" but a Knight who has that option on can and will get killed easily by an Archer (since he won't react if he's not close enough to kill it).
That's really about the all the basic things I can say. The best way to win is simply to develop an overwhelming army, march in and kill. And take out any magic guys quickly! Learn what the other guy does, and think of something to counter it. Good luck!
