Getting an ally
The ally concept is simple...when one of your guys sees one of theirs, they won't attack it. This allows all sorts of neat things, like defending certain areas, attacking together, and blowing all who oppose to bits, all in a nice, friendly fashion!
First off, the person you plan to ally with better agree with your proposed alliance. Then, click on the Allies button, and click next to the name. If that person has allied with you, there should be a box next to their name.
The "Allied Victory" button means that when all opposing forces (all players or computer guys that are not allied with you) are destroyed, the level ends. Turn this off if you have the intent on destroying your friend once the level is over.
A double-cross is an extremely nasty trick, and could actually cause you to lose some friends in the process. With this, when you are allied, gather a large troop of guys. Station them near his village (if they ask a question regarding why you are doing so, say you are defending it). Then, when it seems that they're defense at their town is low, take off the Ally option, and proceed with crushing them. The best way to start is to take about 5 Sappers, and destroy their Castle. Then proceed from there on an all-out war. Afterward, whether you win or lose, that person will probably be cursing up a storm at you, but it's all in good fun. :-)
