Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness Hints

Allies in Multi-Player

  • Start two player right next to each other (separate their sight lines with walls, otherwise they'll see each other, and attack).  Then, ally with each other, and build Town Halls close by.  Put 2 gold mines nearby.  You can manage the village side by side, help each other defend bridges, help each other out, and invade enemy towns!  This is much more fun than crushing your friends normally in multi-player, isn't it?

In normal levels, you can start off the other player in opposite sides of the map.  However, the feeling of friendship of having your two villages so close together, defending each other, is kinda gone.  You may want to separate them in case you'd rather be more independent, and would rather just attack the enemies together (or just ignore each other and go on your own schedule).
