The Witcher Hints
Special Monster: Greater Cockatrice
1 of 4: You're actually forced to kill this as part of the main quest at the beginning of the chapter.
2 of 4: When you enter the lair, depending on which tunnel you used to enter, you'll either see the Cockatrice killing a Drowner, or it will sneak up behind Sigfried (if he's there).
3 of 4: Having Sigfried around makes the fight a bit easier as he will occasionally distract the Cockatrice. Still, it's not all that hard a fight as long as you don't get knocked down continuously.
4 of 4: Once it's dead, and you've escaped the sewers, you can bring its head back to Vincent for a reward.
