The Witcher Hints

How can I learn about my new silver sword?

  • 1 of 8: You can start this quest by talking to Thaler the Fence about where he got the sword.
  • 2 of 8: He'll direct you to the gambler at the Hairy Bear Inn. So head there.
  • 3 of 8: Talk to the Gambler about it, and he'll tell you he won it from the Hospital's gardener.
  • 4 of 8: Go ask the Gardener about it. After talking to him, your journal will prompt you to go ask Shani about it.
  • 5 of 8: Wait until night and go to her house.
  • 6 of 8: Talk to her about the sword and she'll direct you to Zoltan.
  • 7 of 8: You can find him at the Hairy Bear Inn if Coleman is still alive (you haven't visited the Private Eye yet), or at Golan Vivaldi's later.
  • 8 of 8: He'll tell you the sword is genuine, and will give you a rune that can be used to upgrade it to boot.
